Mercy Flights is proud to announce that our CEO, Sheila Clough, has been selected to serve on the Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) Presidential Search Committee. Sheila joins a distinguished group of 25 individuals tasked with identifying and advancing the next president of one of the state’s leading academic medical centers.
Sheila’s appointment reflects her deep commitment to health care excellence, leadership, and community impact. She will bring invaluable insights to the committee, representing the voice of health care professionals and rural communities across Oregon.
Governor Tina Kotek recommended Sheila for this role, alongside three other members from outside Portland, emphasizing the importance of geographic diversity and community representation in shaping OHSU’s future leadership. Sheila joins other prominent committee members, including former state Sen. Betsy Johnson, Danny Santos, and Eric Davis, as well as OHSU employees and board members
“Sheila has long been a champion of advancing access to care, fostering innovation, and supporting our community’s health and wellness,” said Alan Harper, president of the Mercy Flights board of directors. “We are confident her expertise and dedication will make a meaningful contribution to this important process.”
The selection of the next OHSU president comes at a pivotal moment for the institution. With its leadership under scrutiny, OHSU is seeking a leader who can navigate complex challenges, strengthen morale, and uphold its mission of serving Oregon’s diverse communities.
At Mercy Flights, we celebrate Sheila’s commitment to advancing health care across the state and know she will serve with the integrity, vision, and compassion that define her leadership.
